Bookkeeping
The statement arrives as a PDF. It leaves as reconciled transactions.
Auto-entry is the subscription most firms forget they are paying per client, every month, on top of everything else. The Link reads bank statements itself — in two passes, caching the format of each bank it has seen so the second statement from that bank is faster and more accurate than the first — and verifies the balance chain rather than trusting the numbers it extracted. Receipts, invoices and supplier statements go through the same pipeline.

What it does
Two-pass bank statement extractionAI
The first pass learns the layout of that bank's statement; the second reads the transactions against it. The format is cached per bank, so a firm that does forty Lloyds statements a month gets steadily better results rather than starting from scratch each time.
Balance-chain verificationAI
Extraction is not trusted on its own. Every transaction is walked from the opening balance to the closing balance, and a statement whose chain does not reconcile is flagged for a human rather than pushed to the ledger looking correct. A statement with no balance column at all is handled as its own case, not silently mis-read.
Batch upload and background processing
Drop a month of statements at once. They queue, process in the background, and the team is notified as each batch becomes ready for review — so nobody sits watching a spinner.
Duplicate detection and account mergingAI
The system spots the same transaction arriving twice across uploads, and recognises when one bank account has appeared under two different names — then suggests the merge instead of leaving you with a split history.
Receipt and document capture with OCRAI
Capture a receipt or an invoice and the scanner reads the date, amount, supplier and VAT, then files it against the right client. The document inbox is per client, so nothing lands in a shared folder waiting to be sorted.
Ledger push to QuickBooks and Xero
Reviewed transactions go to the client's ledger directly. Bank profiles remember the mapping per client, so the categorisation your team agreed in January is still being applied in October.
Management accounts from the same dataAI
Once the books are clean, monthly and quarterly management accounts are generated and delivered to the client through The Link — with an AI-drafted narrative your team edits, rather than a spreadsheet emailed by hand.
Capabilities marked AI are part of the AI that ships inside The Link — not a roadmap, and not a separate product.
