Compliance
File it, check it, and be able to prove it.
Compliance is where a practice-management tool usually stops and a stack of separate subscriptions begins — one for AML, one for company secretarial, and HMRC in a browser tab. The Link connects to HMRC and Companies House directly, runs identity checks from the client record, and timestamps every filing and every check as it happens, so a regulatory question is a report rather than an afternoon.

What it does
HMRC digital submissions
VAT under Making Tax Digital, Income Tax Self Assessment, Corporation Tax, CIS and SA302s, plus agent authorisation status tracked per client and per individual. Submissions carry the fraud-prevention headers HMRC requires, and the connection is monitored rather than assumed.
Companies House, four ways
Public data lookups that keep client records current, confirmation statements and statutory filings through the XML Gateway, the REST filing API, and identity verification. Officer details are verified and corrected before a filing goes, not after it bounces.
AML and identity verification
Run a CreditSafe identity check straight from the client record. Results come back in seconds with a risk assessment, match confidence and a downloadable AML certificate — no separate console, no re-keying the client's details into somebody else's form.
Government ID extractionAI
Passports and driving licences are read automatically, including MRZ check-digit validation, so a document that has been altered does not quietly pass a visual check.
Professional clearance
A dedicated workflow for taking on a client from another firm: clearance requests sent and tracked, outstanding items listed, response status visible. The handover stops being a chain of emails nobody owns.
Risk register and renewal cadence
Client risk ratings with a review cadence that comes round on its own, so a low-risk assessment from three years ago does not sit there being treated as current.
Compliance audit trail
Every filing, every check, every submission — timestamped, attributed and logged. Pull a compliance report in seconds for an internal review or a regulatory inspection, rather than reconstructing it from folders.
Capabilities marked AI are part of the AI that ships inside The Link — not a roadmap, and not a separate product.
